How to Get Help

Weekly Perishable Food Assistance

Each Tuesday evening at 7 PM there is a fresh food distribution (fruits, vegetables, bakery items, deli products, etc.) held in Room 106 at 985 Ebner Drive.

After a Webster resident registers by confidentially showing their household income and expense information, they are welcome to come on a weekly basis for this food that can supplement their own resources.

It is recommended you arrive by 6:45 PM, bring a picture ID and recent mail with your Webster name and address.

There is NO cost for these services.

All food is donated by Webster businesses. Currently food is received from Hegedorn's, Wegmans (Holt Road & Eastway), BJ's, Tops, Schutt's, Panera Bread and the Diamond Delights Bakery.

Non-Perishable Food Assistance

Many Webster residents live on fixed incomes. When an emergency arises, perhaps an unexpected home or car repair, an unforeseen medical expense, or a sick child may force an unpaid sick day - the Webster Community Chest Food Cupboard can provide non-persishable food when the money for groceries is needed elsewhere.

Webster residents in need can "shop" for this free food that has been generously donated by other Webster residents.

The Cupboard is located at 985 Ebner Dive and is open by appointment only. For one time assistance a resident needs to show valid proof of Webster residency and the emergency that brings them to the Cupboard. For appointments, call 671-2060.

Holiday Food Assistance

Each Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, fresh and non-perishable food is packed by volunteers into bags or boxes depending on family size. This food can be taken home and prepared so each eligible Webster family that has registered can share in a holiday meal. This fresh food is purchased by funds from the Community Chest and the non-persishable food is donated by the members of the Council of Churches or taken from the Food Cupboard.

Loan Cupboard

The medical loan cupboard is run in cooperation with the Parks and Recreation staff and available to any Webster resident. Each piece is maintained and cleaned before it is loaned. We presently have crutches, walkers, canes, and wheelchairs available. Please call 872-7103 if equipment is needed.
